Kettlebell Telephysio with Pro Athlete, Jesse Melamed

Writer: Aaron DobieAaron Dobie

Jesse Melamed is an elite mountain bike racer on the Enduro World Series. His race season has suddenly been put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As he awaits the start of his season, he decided to use the extra time as an opportunity to learn a new skill - training with Kettlebells. He contacted InReach Physio, Aaron Dobie, for an online consultation. Take a back seat to see what a tele-physio appointment with an athlete of this caliber looks like.

Kettlebells are a great strength and conditioning tool but require a bit of time to learn the basics of how to handle them. Once the basics are established, options are limitless. We suggest starting with the basics of learning how to clean or rack the kettlebell. From there, get good at squats and reverse lunges with the kettlebell in one arm. Telephysio is not only limited to people who are injured. Prevention as well as exercise prescription is a passion of ours.
